The Integrated Arts (TIA)

Today we met our artist and sketched Athlone community scenes. We are working with the whole student population of Athlone to create a mosaic that will be hung in the school to commemorate Athlone's 50th year in the community.
We are thrilled to begin tile cutting next week!

Library Today

We read a story called Mo's Moustache! Mr. Van Aert got into the spirit of the story.

Fire Safety

Today we learned about a fire escape plan. Every good fire escape plan should include the following 4 steps:
1. Walk and don't run.
2. Always know 2 ways out.
3. Quickly get outside.
4. Meet outside at the family meeting place.

Please talk about your family fire escape plan this weekend.

Kakooma

This morning we learned a great new game called Kakooma! We can't stop playing it and there are so many variations of it. You can play it online or print off pages to do on car trips or to sharpen your mental math skills. Try Kakooma, we guarantee you won't be able to stop.

The 3 R's at Athlone

We have 3 R's at Athlone that define who we are as learners and as members of the community.

At Athlone,we are...

Respectful and kind to others

Responsible and safe

Ready to learn and grow

We look forward to sharing with you throughout the school year how we follow and believe the 3 R's.
